Jeera rice with Dhall and appalam!!!!
Jeera rice.
Ingredients
1. Boiled basmati rice 2 cups
2. Jeera 1 tbsp
3. Green Chillies 3
4. Cashews handful
5. Cinnamon
6. Bay leaf
7. Coriander leaves
8. Oil and ghee - each a tbsp.
Method
Boil basmati rice. Heat oil and ghee. Put cinnamon stick, bay leaf, Jeera, cashews. After the cashews are fried put green chillies. Add salt and the boiled rice. Mix well. Your Jeera rice is ready.
Dhall.
Moong Dhall - 1 cup
Tomatoes - 4 finely chopped.
Garlic - 8 cloves finely chopped
Ginger - finely chopped
Jeera 1 tsp
Red chillies 3
Kashmiri chilli powder - 2 tsp
Curry leaves
Coriander leaves.
Boil Moong Dhall with turmeric. Heat oil in a pan and temper it with Jeera and red chillies. Add tomatoes and saute it for a few minutes. Add ginger, garlic. Let them get sautéed. Add Kashmiri chilli powder. Add some water after chilli powder loses its raw smell. Add the boiled dhall. Add salt, curry leaves and coriander leaves. Boil it for few more minutes. Dhall is ready.
Serve Jeera rice with dhall and appalam.
